There they meet an elderly German couple, who still mentally fighting their Kaiser's 1914 war against the English, help the desperate little band to leave for their final destination.

The last leg of the journey, apparently sailing along the well-named Skeleton Coast, continues to build the tension and delivers unexpected twists and turns.
