Fiction; the novel Athena’s Vengeance and out of Africa, tackles the immense problems facing those who fight to preserve National Parks – future gene banks – as Alex Morris Eyton names them. Linking the harsh lives of underfunded game rangers to the realities of a wealthy European life was undoubtedly a challenge well managed by the author. But, should you be Woke, this novel is not for you. Alex’s ill-considered thoughts about journalists, or even a well-respected national broadcaster, maybe over the top. Despite this, and with an astonishing conclusion, I suggest you read, rate and award. My vote is for five stars.

I purchased RHIANNON from Amazon very easily and read it almost immediately. I enjoyed it immensely and it is all credit to the author Alex Morris Eyton. I suspect it will sell as well as "MAN of BEES" and "ATHENA'S VENGEANCE". Although I relate to his books probably better than most people being both a friend of Alex's and a past Zimbabwean Farmer, Rhiannon is in Wilbur Smith's category but probably better being more modern and up to date. The story will touch many having lived through Covid pandemic and the prospects of sheer disaster, chaos, and unlawfulness brought on by, in this case, Ebola cannot be ignored. Rhiannon is a " difficult to put down book" and I thoroughly recommend it to readers that enjoy fast moving novels with plenty of the rigors of Africa blended with much human compassion.
